I Had A Poem
I had a poem.
But it's gone now.
It had such beauty.
But I didn't write it down.
Such a missed opportunity.
So much unexpressed meaning.
And I no longer have it.
An entire work of expression.
Life is full of missed opportunities.
Such a pity, such a shame.
Nothing much can be done about it.
Except take them as they come.
I'm glad I can't redo my life.
I would probably do worse.
Sorrows and regrets tear at me.
But they keep me attached to life.
Learn from my mistakes.
That's what I try to do.
And that's the key, the secret.
I'm only a failure when I stop trying.
